Ashley + Peter | Ruby Beach Engagement Session {Olympic National Park, WA}

Ashley + Peter are one of my amazing Fall 2018 couples and I am so psyched for their wedding. For their engagement session, we first stopped at their favorite little coffee shop in Olympia, then took a little road trip over to the coast and explored Ruby Beach. Despite the golden rays of sunshine in the photos, it was actually FREEZING and they were such troopers sticking it out so we could get some bangers.

These two killed it and I'm so excited to share this engagement session with you all!

Samantha + Jorgen | Adventurous Engagement Session {Rattlesnake Ledge, WA}

Sam + Jorgen's engagement session was SO MUCH FUN.

We started with a casual, playful setting at Rattlesnake Lake, then strapped on our hiking gear and headed up the mountain to finish their session with romantic vibes at Rattlesnake Ledge.

These are the adventures I live for <3

Ireland | Fall 2017 {Travel + Landscape Photography}

10 days, 8 flights, 25+ hours in a car. All worth it.

At the beginning of this month, Brandi, Lindsey, and I set off on adventure to see the beautiful land of Ireland. We rented a car and road tripped around the entire country - and in order to meet up with some other groups of friends, we did not necessarily take the route that made the most sense, hence the 25+ hours of driving. Ancient castles, wavering cliffs, unbelievable rock formations, and endless fries (aka "chips") made for an experience of a lifetime.

Nicki + Josh | Olympic National Park, WA {Lilliwaup Couple's Session}

Nicki + Josh were one of the incredible couples that modeled for us at the Alpine Northwest Photography Workshop this year. Unfortunately, we only got to spend about 20 minutes shooting each couple, but man I could have photographed these two all day, all night.

Hanging Gardens | Black Diamond, WA {Travel + Adventure Photography}

Our very favorite thing since moving to Washington is finding new hikes and beautiful spots for photoshoots. A few weeks ago Michael and I (and Maverick of course) scouted out this gorgeous little hike to Hanging Gardens in Black Diamond, WA. It was such a peaceful, rainy afternoon spent together in our beloved PNW.

Mt. Charleston | Cozy Winter Weekend Getaway {Travel + Adventure Photography}

Being self-employed, it can be really hard to force yourself to take a break, respect your work hours, and unplug. Last weekend, we left technology and social media behind, drove an hour up Mt. Charleston, and stayed in a cozy, log cabin at the top. We played cards, watched movies, hiked around, hot tubbed, took pictures, read books, and just relaxed. And it was AWESOME.

San Francisco Trip | June 2016 {Travel + Adventure Photography}

Last month, Michael and I went with my Aunt Christine, Uncle Duane, and cousin Jake, to California for Copa America Centenario. Friday we saw the US play Colombia and Monday we saw Argentina vs. Chile. We stayed four days in San Jose and took the train everywhere, including a day in San Francisco and a tour of Alcatraz. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see the Golden Gate Bridge because by the time we got back from Alcatraz and ate dinner, we had to start making our way back to San Jose while the public transportation was still available. So we will definitely have to go back soon and stay in San Francisco so we can be sure to see everything! As usual, my go-to travel camera is my Canon AE-1 35 mm film camera because I don't have to worry about breaking or losing it, but this time, we had an accidental light leak, which you will be able to see in some of the photos, and completely ruined a couple of my favorite shots from Alcatraz. Oops! I guess that's why I do all of my client work in with digital. Enjoy! :)

Sedona Trip | May 2016 {Travel + Adventure Photography}

Last month, Michael and I took a little weekend trip to Sedona. It was so nice to just get away for a few days and enjoy nature and each other's company. My husband doesn't count it as "hiking" if you stay on a path so our weekend was a little more adventurous than I expected, but it was a blast (sunburns and all)! I told him I would follow him off the path ONLY if he didn't complain when I stopped to take pictures ;)
